| Green Rhino Filteration Sacks |
|
The Environment Agency has identified that pumping groundwater from construction sites, is a major cause of
environmental incidents. Silt can kill aquatic life by smothering and suffocating and can cause flooding by blocking
culverts and drainage channels. They have issued guidelines which cover construction and maintenance works in,
near or liable to affect, surface water and groundwater. The guideline (PPG5/2007) states that polluted site water must
not be pumped without treatment. They also classify erosion to river banks and river beds from pumping activity as an
environmental incident. It is a legal requirement to use a method of work that reduces or eliminates pollution and erosion.
The Green Rhino filter sack is a filtration system that cleanses water of silt and sediment down to 100 microns (UKAS
Lab test) and can detect the presence of hydrocarbons. The Environment Agency consider it a “method of work” for the
protection of the environment. With a robust PVC casing, nylon lifting straps and a capture weight of up to 20kgs,
it enables the simple and safe disposal of silt by one person. Used mainly for construction applications, it is also suitable
for pond cleaning/emptying projects. It is most effective when used with 50mm (2”) to 80mm (3”) pumps, e.g. 1 phase
submersibles, small 3 phase submersibles and most engine driven pumps.

| TE2 Tsurumi Pump - Site Trash Centrifugal Pumps - Aluminium pump with cast iron volute and impeller |
|
TE2-100HA pumps are self priming pumps and are powered by genuine Honda 4 stroke OHV petrol engines. They have carbon ceramic mechanical seals and lightweight, aluminium pump housings, to assist portability. For increased abrasion resistance, they have cast iron volutes and impellers. These materials ensure maximum durability for the pumping of clear and black water as found on building sites. Both models are housed within a protective tubular steel, easy carry frame which has anti-vibration mounts fitted. WB’s are fitted with oil alerts, to protect the engines from misuse. These highly popular pumps are used by Utilities and are found regularly on hire fleets. Hose couplings, washers, clips and strainers are supplied with all pumps, but hoses are extra. Maximum suction lift is 8 metres, when primed, however 6 metres, or less, is recommended. These pumps must not be allowed to run dry.

| TEF / TEW - High Pressure Centrifugal - Petrol |
|
The TEF and TEW are self-priming centrifugal, high head pumps powered by OHV Honda petrol engines. They have carbon ceramic mechanical seals, aluminium pump housings, and cast iron volutes and impellers. To achieve the high pressures required for sprinkling, irrigation and fire fighting duties the impellers have a larger diameter than conventional engine pumps and operate most effectively when pumping clear water. Both models are housed within protective tubular steel, easy carry frames, and have oil alerts and anti-vibration rubber feet. Hose couplings, washers, clips and strainers are supplied, but hoses are extra. Maximum suction lift is 8 metres, when primed, however 6 metres, or less, is recommended. The pumps must not be allowed to run dry. The TEW-50HA has an electric start.
