Obart was
formed in 1972 and located in Peckham, South London. In
those days we distributed construction equipment. In 1976 we
became an Agent for Tsurumi Manufacturing Company Ltd of
Japan, and
have
consistently been their largest European distributor since
2000.

After a management buy-out in 1991, we ceased sales
of construction equipment and concentrated on our
core business of marketing pumps and associated
products. Our reputation has grown, and Obart has
expanded, as a result of the unrivalled performance,
quality and durability of Tsurumi's products, and
our own attention to detail. Our success was
enhanced by the introduction of other world-class
brands such as Honda and Pedrollo.

Recently, we have introduced products from Italian
manufacturers Alma, Speroni and Umbra. Although
these brands are relatively new to the UK, they have
a global reputation for quality, reliability and
innovation, so we expect that they will further
boost our status as the premier pump supplier in the
UK.
Our
expert staff have direct experience of many our
products, having used them themselves in their
previous careers. This has given them a deep
knowledge of the products and, in turn, an
understanding of our customer's needs. We are,
therefore, skilled in the selection and
specification of pumps for many and varied
applications, and friendly advice is always freely

Our
15,000ft2 warehouse is located at
Maidstone and it is within a 2
minute drive of Junction 5 of
the M20. We have a very large
stockholding which permits us to
cope with the widely fluctuating
demands experienced during
periods of extreme weather. The
space allows us to stock a wide
range of products and satisfy
the growing demand for instant
pumping solutions and today's
"want-it-tomorrow" challenges.
